Christian Thirion, Ph.D is a biochemist and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in biotechnology company management and translational research in cell and gene therapy. Following his Ph.D in biochemistry at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich he led a research group at the Friedrich-Baur Institute at the University Hospital Großhadern focusing on preclinical research in neuromuscular disorders and co-founded SIRION Biotech GmbH, a German biotechnology company developing viral vectors for cell and gene therapy. He led the company as CEO until its acquisition by PerkinElmer Inc. and successful integration into Revvity Inc.. At DiNATEQ, he combines his expertise in company building and translational research in cell and gene therapy to advance therapies and precision oncology treatments using DiNATEQ’s loco-regional delivery technology.
